We at Bad Candy Photography often find that the same questions emerge from different women who have booked a shoot with us. What do they need to bring? What to wear? Beauty questions regarding hair and make up and most of all whether or not to wear tan? Here are a few tips for preparing for your photo shoot to get the best results possible from your pictures.
In order to get a range of different styled shots we would recommend you bring:
• 2x Maxi dresses.
• 2x Short dresses.
• 2x Lingerie/swimwear (optional)
• 2x Sets of heels (one open toe)
• 1x Pair of sandals.
[These are just guidelines, some packages will require more outfits. All clothing worn in our photo shoots are chosen by our customers in order to avoid any inconvenience]
Make sure your hair has been washed the night before or the morning of your shoot, but is fully dry.
Please come to your shoot with a fresh face, clean from all makeup residue.
Try to avoid coloured nail varnish that could clash with any of your outfits. We find a French manicure + pedicure (polish/ gel/ acrylic) works best with all outfits and gives a very clean polished look.
If you choose to wear false tan to your shoot, try and wear “Sally Hansen, Airbrush Legs” all over your body as it gives a flawless appearance in your pictures and also blends really well with your makeup. Sometimes with spray tans, the model’s hands can develop a lot darker than the rest of her body, giving a blotchy look, but if you have a regular spray tanner that you trust to do a perfect tan then feel free to get your spray tan done for your shoot.
[Privacy: If you have booked a personal shoot (not a group package, like a family shoot) please take note that only the model will be allowed in the studio during the photo shoot. For clients under 18 years of age, a parent/guardian will be required to assist them to sign a model release form.]
